    We recognise that regular school attendance is important since, without it, all the efforts of teachers come to nothing. Children need to attend regularly if they are to enjoy the educational opportunities provided within the school and make progress. Absence can lead to educational disadvantage for a child and place them at risk of not achieving their full potential. It is our aim at Kingsway to support every child in achieving to their potential and one of the key ways we can do this is to work together to improve attendance.

    Is my child well enough to attend school?

    It can be tricky deciding whether or not to keep your child off school when they're unwell.

    There are government guidelines for schools about health protection and managing specific infectious diseases at GOV.UK. These say when children should be kept off school and when they shouldn't.
