Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 at Kingsway Junior

Year 6 is the final year of your child’s time at Kingsway Junior. It is a year of opportunity and responsibility, as pupils take on leadership roles, consolidate their learning and prepare for the exciting step into secondary school. Our high expectations and high ambitions ensure every child is challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

Year 6 is about consolidating learning, embracing responsibility, and preparing for the transition to secondary school. We have two classes in Year 6 - Emperors and Monarchs - we work together to ensure pupils make the most of their time at Kingsway. It is a year of celebration and challenge, where pupils act as role models and leaders within the school community. Our aim is to ensure that every child leaves Kingsway Junior with confidence, resilience, and readiness for Year 7 and beyond.
