Mission statement

Developing confident, enthusiastic and happy learners

We believe in developing our children to become confident in themselves and confident as learners.

We want our children to love learning and we work hard to create a curriculum that is inspiring, exciting and inclusive.

We make sure that we consider the health, happiness and dignity of each child in everything we do.

We are committed to children’s rights, global citizenship and sustainable development.

We foster healthy relationships and ensure that children feel safe.

At Kingsway, children are active and involved in school life and the wider world.

Aims:

We aim to:

develop confident and independent learners who believe in themselves and achieve their full potential during their primary career.

provide the breadth and depth of the national curriculum by maintaining high standards in the quality of education.

provide a safe, caring and inclusive environment where pupils feel confident to take risks, and individual needs are celebrated.

have consistently high expectations of achievement for all, across all aspects of school life whilst encouraging pupils to make decisions about school life, set their own goals and have high expectations of themselves.

encourage high standards of behaviour, and compliance with the school rules, for the happiness, health and safety of everyone.

Equip pupils with the ongoing knowledge and cultural capital so they are best prepared to be active members of the wider world and integrate into society as a model citizen.

The key aims of our school are summarised in our Kingsway School Pledge

I will believe in myself.

I will celebrate my successes and my mistakes

I will challenge myself each and every day.

I will show respect and kindness to others,

I will keep to the rules of my school and country,

I promise to try!
