British Dyslexia Association Quality Mark

Last year we began working towards gaining the British Dyslexia Association Quality Mark. At Kingsway, we believe that no child should be left behind and we are committed to supporting all children's needs, whether or not they have a diagnosis.

Please contact school if you have any concerns about your child's reading or writing- we are ambitious for all of our children and are passionate about working together and following evidence based research to achieve their potential!

What is a BDA Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark School?

The BDA Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark provides a framework for schools to improve their understanding of dyslexia and to develop the strategies they put in place to support the achievement and engagement of dyslexic learners.

Becoming a dyslexia friendly school requires the involvement and commitment of all those within the school, and a review of the school’s approaches to teaching and learning, monitoring and assessment, differentiation and inclusion across the range of ability and need.

The BDA Dyslexia Friendly Quality Mark is an external sign of approval that is widely recognised not only in the UK but also internationally. This award demonstrates that your school is a place where dyslexic pupils can thrive.
