Art Gallery Year 5 Archive
Year 5 linked to Black History Month where pupils studied the Artist El Anatsui.
In autumn One year 5 looked at the work of the artist Hundertwasser. This built on our knowledge of colour mixing theory from the primary tones. In the first lesson we painting with cool tones, then did a page of warm tones. In the next lesson we cut and collaged this into our Hundertwasser tree paintings attached. They are currently on display in both rooms.
Year 5 enjoyed creating Pinch Pot monsters!
Year 5 studied Protest Art linked to their History knowledge of Revolts. We created our own protest art messages about what we think should improve in our world.
We enjoyed studying Escher and tesselations.
